From One Truck to Thousands of Moves: The Movher Story
Founded in 2010 by Spokane resident Sabrina Jones, Movher began by renting a Budget truck from Spokane’s northside, whenever jobs were secured on the weekends since she and her partner Jerry Almanza worked at Gonzaga University full time. In 2012, Sabrina left Gonzaga to pursue Movher full time, purchased her first moving truck and by 2016, she leased her first office and warehouse space, which was quickly outgrown. Fast forward to 2019 and Movher relocated to a 10,000-sf space in Spokane Valley with six moving trucks and converted 2,000-sf of office space to temperature- and humidity-controlled wine storage.
Today, the company remains at that location but also has an additional 20,000-sf of warehouse in Spokane Valley to accommodate their customers’ storage needs. We offer in-home, virtual and phone estimates and are licensed to move throughout all of Washington state (from Spokane, Spokane Valley and Liberty Lake to Seattle, Tacoma, Olympia, Wenatchee, Richland and everywhere in between) as well as interstate moves (across state lines into Idaho, Montana and Oregon), although we limit ourselves to about a 500-mile radius (give or take a couple hundred miles) from our home base in Spokane. In 2024, Movher completed over 1,800 moves and moved over 8,000,000 pounds of household goods - that’s a lot of moving! Contact us today to find out how we can help you.

Rooted in Community, Driven by Care: The Movher Way
Movher is an independent moving company based in Spokane Valley, not connected to a franchise or national van line. We are truly homegrown. We support our community in many ways, with Transitions being our preferred non-profit. Although you can also find us helping during the Polo Classic for Ronald McDonald House, getting equipment and supplies to Dinner on the Bridge for Women and Children’s Free Restaurant, delivering books for the Christmas Bureau and gifts for the Tree of Sharing during the holiday season. We are honored to be able to help whenever and however we can to our community that supports us, as well.
We are involved in local chambers such as Spokane Valley and West Plains, as well as national trade associations like the International Association of Movers, American Trucking Association, Washington State Movers Conference, the National Association of Senior Move Managers and the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals. We believe in ongoing education and learning. We hold weekly and monthly staff meetings where safety topics are covered, successes are celebrated and shortcomings are addressed with ways to do better next time. We do all of this because we want to provide you, our customer, with the most honest and memorable moving experience possible. After all, who says moving can’t be fun?
Who we Move

Young
Still trying to get your friends to move you by promising them beer and pizza? Feel like hiring a moving company would cost too much? Stop wasting your time and fill out our online form already.

Those Somewhere In The Middle
Look, you’ve got a lot going on. Odds are, you make more money than your folks did at your age, plus they didn’t have all these moving options. We know you’d rather be grabbing brunch than packing boxes and bagging mattresses. Listen to your mom, your spouse, your partner, and just hire us already.

Seniors
We know you’re used to doing everything yourself. And truth be told, you’ve done it so well and make the rest of us look like stragglers. But please, for the love of Mary, let us help just this once. We even got certified in moving seniors (National Association of Senior Move Managers, better known as NASMM) so you knew we studied up on your specific needs. We promise to still listen to you while we’re moving that 1950s stereo cabinet and box of vinyl LPs into your new living room.
What we Move

Household Goods
We move just about any household item you can think of (except for hot tubs, please don’t ask us to move those). Some require special handling (think oil paintings, statues, appliances) while others are your more typical items (sofas, dressers, chairs, beds). And yes, we reassemble anything we disassemble and we place items where you want them in your new space.
Your goods are protected in high-quality moving blankets (also known as “pads” in industry jargon) or padded paper if going into storage you provide. We also protect your home, from doors and floors to stairs and railings.

Business Furniture & Equipment
Movher is Spokane’s only independent moving company that is also IOMI-certified. Whether you’re moving your entire office, a single division, or relocating from one floor to another, Movher can help.
When you work with Movher, you get a dedicated move coordinator, on-demand moving supplies, company-owned trucks with all of the necessary supplies to keep your property protected, insurance for your building, and trained employees.

Gun Safes
While we can’t claim to know the ratio of gun safes to homes in the greater Inland Northwest, we do know that they’re heavy and usually in a basement or garage with stairs involved. Having the right equipment for the job is imperative, along with experience and a can-do attitude. Lucky for us, we’ve got all of that and more.

Pianos
We’re pretty sure you can play Bach better than our movers, but on the flip side, we’re even more confident that we can move that piano better than you. We have crews who are trained and the equipment required to safely move a spinet, an upright, a baby Grand or Grand, not to mention the brand name of each.
